Frank C. Sluzis was admitted to practice law in 1984 and has over 25 years of legal experience in family law.
Over the years, Attorney Sluzis has handled several hundred divorce, support, custody and protection from abuse cases. Attorney Sluzis has handled just about every type of family law case ranging from simple to complex divorces to support modifications and enforcements and from amicable, consent custody cases to the most contentious custody cases involving serious allegations of abuse. Attorney Sluzis has seen, heard and done it all the area of family law and brings this vast, wide and deep experience to the best advantage of his clients.
Attorney Sluzis is a former Divorce Master of Dauphin County and Divorce and Support Court Master in Schuylkill County. In this capacity, Attorney Sluzis presided over many divorce and support cases and issued recommended rulings to the presiding judges on all aspects of litigated divorce cases, including equitable distribution and alimony. Also in Schuylkill County he served as Staff Attorney in the Domestic Relations Office. In his capacity as a Divorce and Support Court Master and Staff Attorney for the Domestic Relations Office, Attorney Sluzis gained extensive experience in handling divorce, support and custody cases. In particular, Attorney Sluzis learned how judges tend to rule on certain issues presented, how to cross-examine witnesses and what evidence the courts are most interested in hearing. This experience has proven invaluable to Attorney Sluzis as he guides his own clients through family law courts.
Attorney Sluzis is also a practicing criminal defense attorney. As a criminal defense attorney, Attorney Sluzis is particularly qualified to handle custody cases involving any and all forms of spousal or child abuse. Attorney Sluzis has been involved in many child custody cases that have also involved investigations into child abuse by Children and Youth Services and criminal investigations brought by local law enforcement or the Pennsylvania State Police. Attorney Sluzis' extensive experience as criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor himself puts him in a good position to provide the right guidance in family law cases involving abuse allegations.
Attorney Sluzis graduated Cum Laude from Elizabethtown College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. His Juris Doctorate was earned at Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law.
Mr. Sluzis lives in Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, with his wife. He serves on the Board, as well as on the Finance Committee and Walk of Hope Committee, of Brittany's Hope, a foundation that facilitates world-wide adoption of special needs, older and sibling children through many humanitarian projects. His years as Divorce and Support Court Master have provided Attorney Sluzis with invaluable experience that he uses today representing clients in divorce, support, custody and protection from abuse cases.
